De Palma \u2013 From Plagiarism to Tribute: a Documentary About the Similarities Between \u2018Psycho\u2019 and \u2018Dressed to Kill\u2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong><br \/>\nThe documentary consists of reopening the discussion about the controversy created in the early 1980s, that Brian De Palma plagiarized the film \u201cPsycho\u201d (1960) by Alfred Hitchcock, when he released the film \u201cDressed to Kill\u201d (1980).<\/p>\n<p>Through a film analysis, it was possible to counteract the controversy of plagiarism and be able to reach the status of a &#8220;tribute&#8221; which De Palma and his film &#8220;Dressed to Kill&#8221; made to Hitchcock and his film &#8220;Psycho&#8221;. To get to this point, we have exclusive interviews with film critic Rubens Ewald Filho and semiotician L\u00facia Santaella, bringing interpretations on the subject.
